You’ve probably heard a lot about detoxing and cleansing the body. Some people go on juice detoxes for a few days and others might enjoy a raw food diet for 21 days or so. Either way, they are focused on ridding the body of toxins and getting healthier. Yes, cleansing is beneficial for the mind and body, but do you realize that it’s not the most effective thing for cleansing the spirit?
What about a karma cleanse? What about cleansing your spiritual person from any toxic build-up from your past? Think your spirit doesn’t have toxins? Well, what about the times you tell little fibs? Or doing the things you wish you wouldn’t have? What about things from your past lives? You may not remember some pretty hefty toxic build-up from a previous life.
This is why a karma cleanse is essential. It can help wash away karmic debt and toxins and help you feel amazingly free and happy. Just as a physical cleanse helps your body feel refreshed and revived, a karmic cleanse will help you along your spiritual path for sure. So let’s discuss a few ways you can move forward doing a karma cleanse.
Karma is about action and reaction. Though we wish bad karma for some people (but we shouldn’t), karma is the universe operating on a reward system. Do good and you’ll get good. Do bad and you’ll get bad. That’s essentially what it boils down to, but the good news is that you can do a karmic cleanse and give yourself a clean slate.
Ask for forgiveness. This is a great step toward karmic cleanse. Forgive yourself and others for any wrongdoing. Be as genuine as possible.
Forgive others. Whether you feel like it or not, make a decision to forgive others.
Offer gratitude. Be thankful for anything and everything. The good and the not-so-good. Love it all.
Appreciate the beauty of everything. Go and sit in appreciation at the beauty of nature, people, animals, and so on. Feel the gratitude in your heart.
Sit in silence. Take some time daily to sit in silence. Meditate. Be still. Enjoy your present moment and enjoy the stillness that you experience moment by moment.
If you continually do these things, you’ll be cleansing your karma over and over, which is a wonderful thing. Just wait and see how much better you’re going to feel. If you want, do a body cleanse at the same time. Let those things go that you no longer need or that no longer serve you and accept the good. Smile, and enjoy the journey!
