A lot of people, including those who don’t subscribe to numerology, believe in “lucky numbers.” Oftentimes, their belief in so-called “lucky numbers” has to do with mere superstition or chance. True followers of numerology have often wondered, however, whether or not there truly is such a thing as “lucky numbers.” While there may not truly be lucky numbers in the traditional sense, there are certain numbers that can hold great meaning and significance to you if you pay attention to when and how they occur in your life.
Your Life Path Number
One important number that you should be aware of is your life path number. This number can give you a general idea of what your life will be like, what themes will recur in your life, and what kinds of steps you should be taking for the happiest life possible. You can find your life path number by adding together the digits in the month, day, and year of your birth. So, for example, a person born on November 13, 1985 would add together the following digits:
• 1
• 1
• 1
• 3
• 1
• 9
• 8
• 5
In the above example, the total would be 29, so those resulting numbers- the 2 and the 9- should also be added together. Anytime you end up with a double digit sum, the two digits should be added. You should continue adding double digit sums until you end up with a single digit. The digit you end up with can then be researched for additional information and insight, as it has different “life path” meanings.
Recurring Numbers
In addition to knowing and researching your life path number, you should also be on the lookout for recurring numbers in your life. If your phone number, your credit card number, and your birth year all contain repeating 7s, for example, you’ll know that the number 7, or more specifically, the combination 77 holds some kind of significance for you. Keep track of numbers you see in a journal or on a notepad. This will make it easy to go back and see which numbers you need to pay attention to. In general, if you see a number or a series of numbers often, it’s the universe’s way of trying to tell you something.
Your Birthday Number
Another number you should be aware of is your “birthday number.” This number can be obtained by looking at the day-date of when you were born. A person born on the 3rd of July, for example, would have a birthday number of 3. If your date is in the double digits, such as 13, you would add the two digits together to get your birthday number. Once you have it, research that number to determine its significance to you.
The bottom line is that the universe communicates with us in a variety of ways. One of those ways is through numbers and patterns. Pay attention to those and incorporate what you learn into your life, and you’re bound to be and feel “lucky.”
